at the end of the summer, with great fanfare, we got emmett and maggie their very own "big kid beds." we wanted to move them out of cribs before baby #3 arrived, and we thought that they (well, maybe just emmett!) were ready for the next step. so for the past six weeks, our big kids have been sleeping in real beds, and everyone seems to love them. maggie continues to be our finicky sleeper, who gets up most nights at least once, and often still insists on sleeping in "mama-dada's bed" until we can sneak her back into her own room, but overall, the kids have done a great job with the transition.
i also had a chance to paint the kids' room last week (one of the perks of being pregnant WAY longer than you thought you'd be is that all the projects get done before baby comes!), so e & m now have bright, cheerful green walls instead of the very dark burgundy color that was originally in the room.
AND...speaking of transitions and new things, tomorrow will be another big transition in our lives- we will be induced late in the day, and can't wait to welcome our new baby into the world!
