baby g's birth-day party

emmett and magnolia wanted to throw a birth-day party for "baby g" (our final boy/girl name selections both started with "g," so that's what e & m called her before she was born...and the name stuck!).  the kids decided that we would have cupcakes and party hats to celebrate the baby's arrival, and we all thought that was a grand idea!

emmett and maggie helped grammy make the cupcakes, and the morning after georgia was born, we had a party in our hospital room.  grandma, papa, gramps, grammy, emmett and maggie all got to meet georgia for the first time, and we sang "happy birthday" to her.  we wore our party hats, opened gifts, and ate some yummy cupcakes (emmett handed out the treats and proudly gave the first one to georgia- it was an adorable big brother moment!). the grandparents all took turns holding georgia, and maggie and emmett were fascinated by baby g's belly button.  it was a party to remember, for sure!
