maggie and gramps
it is unfortunate that the expression "baby's first christmas" (or babies' first christmas in our case!) conjures up images of bad holiday-themed clothing and tacky picture frames, because it has been such a sweet, memorable time for us! i have enjoyed sitting with each of my children as they stare entranced at the lights on our tree, and i loved picking out the christmas book that will start a collection that will grow with each year. i could have cared less about receiving any gifts of my own (what do i need anyway?) but i was touched by the presents that our friends and family lovingly selected for maggie and emmett. it really has been a special time that we'll always remember!
due to technical difficulties that are too boring to write/read about, i don't have access to any of my own photos until we get back to seattle next week, so i poached a photo from pam's blog and snagged one that i took on my mom's camera, too. by the time we get home, i'll probably be so over xmas that i won't want to blog about it, so it looks like this might be our official holiday entry!
we celebrated christmas two times in two days in two states, which i think is fitting. emmett actually did pull on some paper to help unwrap his presents. magnolia has been giggling more than ever- is it the eggnog or the adorable holiday sweater from tracy that is making her so gleeful?
