miro comes to town

we haven't seen our friends from british colombia in over a year, and we loved spending time with them last week.  miro just turned two years old, and e & m really liked playing with her now that she is a "big kid." 
we took miro and her parents to some of our favorite neighborhood spots, and we also enjoyed lots of time playing and catching up here at the house.  it was fun for emmett and maggie to be around francophiles- miro brought a gift of some french flashcards, marylene taught our budding chef emmett to make crepes, and by the end of the visit, e & m were asking, "how do you say ___ in french?"
