we have been looking forward to meeting miro for so long, and earlier this week, we finally got to know this sweet little girl! miro and her parents live in vancouver, b.c, and made the trek to portland for a couple days of fun and mayhem at our house. emmett and magnolia had looked at many photos of miro on her blog, but actually having her here at our house elevated her to true celebrity status. both kids adored/obsessed over her, and even though there is a bit of an age difference (miro is 9 months) all the kids were able to play together.
em and maggie enjoyed showing miro their books, and i think miro liked playing "cooking" with the kids. putting the play food into miro's mom's boot was a new and interesting twist on the food game!. meal times were also very exciting as our kids watched miro eat using their old high chair tray, and enviously eyed her baby food.
the visit with miro and her family was so much fun, and we can't wait to head north of the border to visit our friends again soon!
