greg's mom came with me to my weekly appointment today. i had another non-stress test where the babies movements and corresponding heart accelerations were monitored. the first couple times we went through this test the babies were awake and moving quite a lot, but today, magnolia was napping through the exam. apparently, this was unacceptable behavior, and the nurse pulled out a device that i can only describe as a baby buzzer- kind of an alarm clock for the in utero set. i know the buzzer startled my poor baby girl, because she kicked hard immediately after the buzzer went off next to her head, but then she was back to sleep again. after buzzer #2, maggie woke up and moved around enough to be properly monitored. i hope we didn't traumatize my poor kid!
after the NST, one of my favorite docs in the practice examined me and pretty much told me i wasn't going to have any babies this week. while this is good news for the kids, i am really looking forward to "the end!" so if you voted for this week, it looks like it's not gonna happen. we'll keep you posted...
i check your blog about five times a day waiting for the news! my doctor examined me the morning my water broke and told me i wasn't having a baby for atleast a week! you never know! i'll be checking every day still! :) good luck, can't wait to see those beautiful babies! love you, L.
